How much does a generator cost?
Pricing varies widely, and anyone who quotes you a number over the phone without seeing the house is guessing. During your consultation we learn what you need and how to meet it while respecting your budget. Three things drive the price:
- 01The size of your home. Typically, the larger the house, the more power you'll need to generate.
- 02Your power needs. Whole-home coverage costs more than keeping the refrigerator, freezer, and lights on. Both are good choices.
- 03Where your utilities are. The generator connects to both your gas and electric meters. If they're close together, labor drops. If they're on opposite sides of the house, we run a line across the property.

How much does a generator cost?
It depends on the size of your home, how much of it you want powered, and where your gas and electric meters sit. We give you an accurate number after a free phone consultation and an at-home site visit, not a guess over the phone.
What size generator do I need?
Essentials alone (lights, refrigerator, furnace fan, well pump) usually land on 10 to 14 kW. Most of the house with one central AC lands on about 22 kW. A whole house with two AC units, an electric range, and an electric dryer usually needs a liquid-cooled unit of 30 kW or more. Use the sizing tool above for a ballpark; the site visit confirms it against your panel.
What does a turnkey installation include?
The concrete pad, an adequately rated automatic transfer switch, conduit and wiring, generator placement in a properly vented spot, the electrical connections to your main, and the fuel line. One crew, start to finish.
